Samsung has started developing Android 12 for the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, according to a new rumor. The rollout of the Android update is planned for the end of 2021.

Android 12 for the Samsung Galaxy S21

Google unveiled the first beta of Android 12 at its Google I/O conference in May and has recently started rolling out the Android 12 Beta 2 update. The preview releases are available for download on Google’s Pixel phones as well as some phones from ASUS, OnePlus, Oppo, Xiaomi, Realme, Sharp, TECNO, TCL, Vivo and ZTE.

Samsung is missing on this list, but that is the case every year. Samsung is because each year with its own One UI beta program based on the news to Android version. This beta program is intended for the Samsung flagships, which can then also be the first to rely on the stable version.

That applies again this year to the Samsung Galaxy S21, the S21 Plus or S21 Ultra and it is rumor spreader Max Weinbach who brings out the first information about it via Twitter. According to Weinbach, Samsung is now working on that beta program. He also reports that the update should make its way to the phones by the end of the year, possibly in December.

Samsung has not announced anything about this yet, so it remains a rumor. The Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra did receive the stable version of Android 11 in December of 2020, so we hope that Samsung will stick to this schedule. In any case, Google is going to officially announce Android 12 in August and you will discover all the new features in this video.
