Assassin’s Creed: Hall of Valor director joins EA to develop unannounced game

Assassin’s Creed: Hall of Valor director Eric Baptizat left Ubisoft to join EA Motive Studios as the game director for an unannounced game. According to reports, Eric Baptizat joined EA Motive in April this year, after he had worked at Ubisoft for 16 years. There have been rumors that EA Motive is restarting the Dead Space series of IP, which is expected to be released on EA Play Live in July.

In addition to being the director of Assassin’s Creed: Hall of Valor, Eric Baptizat has also held senior development positions in popular games such as Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag and Assassin’s Creed: Origins. EA Motive was founded in 2015 by former Assassin’s Creed producer Jade Raymond, but Raymond left in 2018. EA compiled BioWare Montreal into EA Motive and opened a second Motive office in Vancouver.

After assisting in the development of Star Wars: Battlefront 2, EA Motive independently developed the space fighter simulation game Star Wars: Squadron. In an interview with IGN, Patrick Klaus, the new general manager of Motive, said that they are developing a number of unannounced games, including original games and some new works in well-known series.
