Many players started their gaming careers with PlayStation 1. PS1 has left players with countless memorable classic games, and the PlayStation logo of the year is also deeply engraved in the minds of many players. However, some MOD authors discovered that this logo is not actually a flat picture, but a 3D model, which can be rotated and viewed from different angles.
the ps1 bios logo actually being a 3D model means you can view it at some really cursed forbidden angles pic.twitter.com/2u2Pa0GEOd

The evidence that this LOGO is a 3D model is that if the player inserts a non-PS1 game disk into the console and tries to start it, a BUG will appear. Normally, after the start screen of PS1, the LOGO of PS1 will appear. If the CD has passed the host’s certification test and it is confirmed that this is a PS1 game, then the LOGO will appear normally.

But if it is not a PS1 game, some strange lines and graphics will appear on the screen. In a Twitter article, we analyzed how many viewing angles this LOGO needs to achieve such recognition. Then a player rebuilt the LOGO based on this and imported it into Unreal Engine, and then rotated it to view it from different angles.
Although Sony has now entered the PS5 generation, PS1 may still have some undiscovered secrets waiting for people to explore.
