A number of GTA large-scale private projects soaked in T2 to send copyright protection notices

According to Dsogaming news, Take-Two is working to crack down on major mods related to GTA: San Andreas and GTA: Vice City. A few days ago, the development team of the well-known MOD Underground of GTA: SA got in touch with Dsogaming, stating that Take-Two, the parent company of R Star, has sent them a DMCA copyright protection notice, requesting the team to stop the development of the MOD.

In addition to Underground, there are also GTA: Story of Sin City and GTA: Liberty City Story PC-side folk projects, and the GTA: SA AI-enhanced texture mapping project has also been stopped by T2. In other words, T2 is cracking down on multiple old GTA game-related MOD/civil projects.

It is currently unclear why T2 suddenly decided to do this. In theory, these MODs did not violate any rules and should be safe. Many netizens’ views on this matter, one is that T2 is increasing copyright protection, which is more likely; the other is that Star R may start some projects on the old GTA itself. There is no evidence for such speculation.
