Rumor: Call of Duty 18 will be officially announced in August this year

In 2021, Sledgehammer Games, a subsidiary of Activision, will once again take over the production of Call of Duty, and this game will be released later this year. Although there is no definite official news yet, this game is likely to be announced soon.

According to VGC editor Andy Robinson, this year’s COD (supposedly called Call of Duty: Pioneer) will be announced next month. This is clearly consistent with the announcement of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (Black Ops Cold War) in August 2020. In fact, similar to this game, Pioneer will also be unveiled through the free game Call of Duty: Warzone.

According to reports, Call of Duty: Pioneer will be based on World War II, similar to Sledgehammer’s previous Call of Duty game, and will use the same engine as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019). Recently, the alpha version of Call of Duty: Pioneer also appeared in Blizzard and PlayStation Store.
