A fisherman caught an iPhone and successfully tracked the owner and returned the phone

People already know how to find a lost iPhone, and even use MagSafe to find them. Now, Jason Robinson, a fisherman in Horry County, South Carolina, has accidentally obtained an iPhone while fishing for bass.

According to local WMBF news, Robinson left home early on Sunday, July 18, and headed to Wakamo River. After catching some fish, he then felt good bite force and a tight fishing line. As a result, he pulled ashore and found it was an iPhone.

After he cleaned the phone, he found a picture of a man and a woman in the phone case. He posted this photo on Facebook and found the woman within 5 minutes.

I am always told to do the right thing, no matter what it is, no matter what happens in life, so at the end of the day, you know that you have done what you can do to make other people’s lives better, Robinson said. This makes the girl incredibly happy.

The woman named Riley Johnson told Robinson that this photo was taken when she and her current husband Trinidad were dating in 2018. However, this photo and phone were lost during Thanksgiving in 2020. Johnson has now seen Robinson and got the Apple phone and the faded photos.
