Instagram launches a new sensitive content control feature

According to the latest reports, Facebook said on Tuesday local time that it would launch a tool called Sensitive Content Control on Instagram. This feature is designed to allow users to better control how much sensitive content appears in the Explore section of the Instagram application.

You can think that sensitive content does not necessarily violate our rules, but it may make some people feel uncomfortable-such as content that may contain sexually suggestive or violent content, Instagram owner Facebook wrote in a blog post.

Instagram stated that it will try to avoid making recommendations that may be low-quality, offensive or sensitive, and we will also avoid making recommendations that may be inappropriate for young audiences. According to understanding, this is the same as Instagram’s ban. The content is different. For example, banned content is hate speech, bullying, or other content that may cause harm to people.

Now, with the sensitive content control feature, users can choose to leave the content as it is or adjust the sensitive content control to view more or less certain types of sensitive content, Facebook said.

How to use sensitive content control features:

Currently, not all Instagram users can find this feature in the app, but Facebook provides instructions on how to access it. To use the new features of Instagram, users need to access their personal information in the app and press the Settings menu in the upper right corner. Press Account, then select Sensitive Content Control.

This feature allows users to choose among three options. The default settings are Limit, Allow and Limit Even more. This allowed option does not apply to people under the age of 18. Facebook said that users can change their choices at any time if they are over 18 years old.
