Live Text feature now available to Intel Mac devices

In the macOS Monterey Beta 4 update, the features previously exclusive to the M1 Mac have been extended to Intel Mac devices. According to the update log officially released by Apple, the Live Text feature can now be run on all Mac devices that support macOS Monterey. On social media, some users said that they have successfully run this feature on the 2008 Mac Pro.

Live Text digitizes the text in photos and implements some smart functions, such as making phone numbers and addresses and other information searchable and interactive in Apple Photos and Camera apps. This feature was previously limited to models such as MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and iMac equipped with the M1 chip, and now it is open to Intel Mac devices.
