Google Keep may have a new widget with Android 12

In the past few hours, the Google team has decided to give us a taste of Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, smartphones whose official presentation is scheduled for next autumn. Through the images released by the Mountain View giant, we had the opportunity to see the new user interface and there also seems to be a new home screen widget for Google Keep, complete with a Material You design.

As things stand, Google Keep only has two options for Android home screen widgets: a short Quick Capture widget with shortcuts for adding new notes and a larger Notes List with the same controls and a scrollable view of your notes.

Google has shown in particular various designs of the home screen, highlighting how the background colors affect everything and among the images spread by the Mountain View giant, there are also those relating to an unknown-looking widget that has five options and, while there is no guarantee that it is the Google Keep one, the options correspond to the related five options displayed in the current Quick Capture widget.

Following the current Keep widget and the one allegedly shown by the Mountain View giant, compared by 9to5Google. Google Keep’s new widget uses a flower-like design, with a simple add button in the center and four petals to add a voice note, photo note, to-do list or handwritten note, all with colors that match the background below, in full Material You style.

Considering that Google has already shown this widget, most of the work has probably been done and new details may emerge soon. The Google Keep app for Android can be downloaded from the Google Play Store with the following badge.
