PS5 version of F1 2021 temporarily removes 3D audio feature due to technical issues

Today (August 10), the developer Codemasters announced that it will temporarily disable the 3D audio feature of the headset in the PS5 version of F1 2021. In the game’s 1.06 patch update instructions, the developer explained that due to unspecified technical issues, the feature has been closed.

The developer also stated: Once the related audio issues are resolved, they will be re-enabled. In the beta update last month, Sony added the ability to use PS5 3D audio through speakers (since its release, this feature only applies to headphones).

This update means that this is the second time that Codemasters has removed some features of the PS5 version of F1 2021 due to technical issues. Last month, the developer removed the ray-tracing function of the PS5 version of the game due to performance issues.

At that time, the developers said that this is a difficult decision to remove the light chase function. In the 1.05 version update last week, this feature was re-added to the game. But at that time, this problem only existed in the PS5 version, and the ray tracing of the Xbox Series X and PC versions could continue to be used.
