Latest Concept: MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar replaced by Apple Pencil dock

According to the latest reports, Apple will launch a new MacBook Pro later this year. As part of the transition from Intel processors, the new machines will use Apple Silicon processors. There are many details about the upcoming 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models. One of the biggest rumors is that Apple may abandon the Touch Bar in the upcoming product line.

Although it is too early to speculate, a new concept has emerged that will replace the Touch Bar on the MacBook Pro model with the base or shell of the Apple Pencil. Recently, Apple applied for a new patent in which the holder of the Apple Pencil is located in the position of the Touch Bar.

Designer Sarang Sheth created a new MacBook Pro concept. It is reported that he created a patented model. As you can see, the Touch Bar ratio of this MacBook Pro is smaller. In addition, MacBook will also be equipped with touch gestures using Apple Pencil. The smaller Touch Bar will carry features such as Siri and can quickly access other applications.

Although the concept of the MacBook Pro looks very good and far from reality, if Apple launches a new model with a touch screen function, I believe everyone will still be surprised. TakeAp noticed that Steve Jobs was not a big fan of Mac touch screens, and he said it was very bad from an ergonomic point of view. In addition, Craig Frederighi stated as early as 2020 that the touch screen on the Mac is not part of Apple’s plan.

Nevertheless, the MacBook Pro concept looks very good, and it may be suitable for performing many creative tasks. Another noteworthy aspect is that earlier this week, Apple filed a patent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) explaining how Apple might use the Apple Pencil fixture on the Mac.
