M1X Mac mini postponed due to marketing reasons

According to a source, due to marketing reasons, Apple may have decided to postpone the listing of the M1X Mac mini. According to the newly discovered details, this small desktop may be launched next year. In LeaksApplePro’s latest tweet around the M1X Mac mini, he said that the updated Mac mini model may be launched in the second or third quarter of next year with the MacBook Air in 2022.

His prediction is contrary to that of dylandkt, which earlier stated that the M1X MacBook Pro series and M1X Mac mini are expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of 2021. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s MacBook series products will be launched in November, but he did not mention the M1X Mac mini.

Assuming that Apple does decide to deliberately postpone the listing of the M1X Mac mini, conflicts between products with similar performance will be the obvious cause. With the M1X MacBook Pro series gaining a brand new design many years later, the launch of the Mac mini may take away some of the attention of these products. If the M1X Mac mini is released at the same time as the M1X MacBook Pro model, some customers may abandon these notebooks and choose compact desktop hardware.

Guo Mingchi previously stated that the launch of the redesigned MacBook Pro series will increase the adoption of mini LED technology worldwide, and Apple is getting lower prices for mini LED screens from different suppliers. LeaksApplePro earlier shared a schematic diagram of the M1X Mac mini, revealing that it will welcome many ports. According to the previously released renderings, a thinner design and plexiglass material are also planned.
