Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 missed the Exynos 2200 chipset

A few months ago, a large number of specifications of the new Galaxy Tab S8 tablet were leaked on the Internet. It is known that in addition to the standard version, Samsung also plans to provide Galaxy Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra models. Earlier, the well-known tipster Ice Universe revealed on Twitter that all three tablets will support 10V @ 4.5A 45W fast charging power, which matches last year’s Galaxy Tab S7.

Although the battery capacity is much larger than that of mobile phones, the size of the tablet makes it easy to cope with a charging power of more than 40W. It is said that the standard version of the Galaxy Tab S8 has 8000 mAh, the Galaxy Tab S8+ is 10090 mAh, and the Galaxy S8 Ultra is 11500 mAh.

However, in terms of chipset, Ice Universe added-Galaxy Tab S8 will miss Samsung’s own Exynos 2200 chipset but will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 898 SoC. Considering that the Exynos 2200 chipset based on AMD RDNA GPU has better graphics performance than the Adreno 730 integrated in the Snapdragon 898, this is undoubtedly news that makes consumers feel sorry.

Perhaps the continued shortage of chips is also a major reason for the delay in the release of the Galaxy Tab S8. After all, the Galaxy Tab S7 was released a year ago, and the Galaxy Tab S8 is expected to have to wait until December 2021 January 2021 to be released.

If this is the case, the Galaxy Tab S8 may be unveiled together with the Galaxy S22 series of smartphones early next year, and it will be pre-installed with the OneUI 4.0 software out of the box.
