Instagram about to replace a feature and add likes to Stories

Instagram is one of the most popular social networks of the moment, especially by younger users and its team of developers from time to time introduces new features to ensure an increasingly enjoyable and rich experience. Well, sometimes the team of this social network also removes some features and this is what will happen to start from Monday 30 August, when users will no longer be able to take advantage of the swipe-up gesture.

As we learn from The Verge, in fact, the function that allows people to visit external web pages with a swipe up will no longer be available and will be replaced by the possibility for users to insert special stickers which, once touched, will lead directly to the external site. It seems that behind this decision there is the desire to streamline the story creation experience and give users greater creative control over their stories.

The Instagram team specified that for the moment only people who had the privileges of the swipe-up feature will receive the new sticker option, explaining that the possible extension to all users is still being evaluated. There is another news coming for Instagram users, as revealed to us on Twitter by Alessandro Paluzzi: the team of developers of this popular social network, in fact, is working to implement the possibility to like the Stories of Instagram.

According to what has been made known by Paluzzi, at the moment it seems that it will be possible to send more likes to Instagram Stories and this means that the relative author should not receive a message of the reaction in private (there will probably be a list in which to check all the Mi like about the story). We look forward to official information to find out more about this new feature and its availability for all users. In the meantime, you can download the latest version of Instagram for Android from the Google Play Store.
