Waiting for the marketing of Google Pixel 5a, which unfortunately will not affect any European country, it is Hiroshi Lockheimer, senior vice president of Android, Chrome OS, Google Play and much more, to keep up the interest in the new series of smartphones, which barring surprises, it should be announced early next fall.
The executive posted on Twitter a post, later removed, which was relaunched by XDA Developers, in which a screenshot of what could be Google Pixel 6 Pro was captured. The image, which you see below, shows the Android 12 unlock screen, with the fingerprint symbol just below the clock.
The presence of numerous icons in perfect Google-style suggests that we are dealing with a Google smartphone, despite the fact that there are many devices that are currently running the beta version of Android 12 and that could have the same characteristics.
Hiroshi Lockheimer apparently posted (and then deleted) a screenshot from what’s likely the Pixel 6 Pro (the image resolution was 1440×3200.) The phone is connected to Verizon 5G, likely the carrier’s sub-6GHz network. Also shown is the position of the UDFPS.

Analyzing the screenshot we discover that the device screen has a QHD + resolution (1440 x 3200 pixels) and a fingerprint reader below the screen, common characteristics, for example, to Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, OnePlus 9 Pro or OPPO Find X3 Pro However, it is likely that we are faced with a Pixel 6 Pro, precisely because of icons and writings, which hardly find a place on the devices of third-party manufacturers.
Google has confirmed that the Pixel 6 series will be the first to use an under-screen fingerprint reader and that the Pro variant will use a QHD + screen, unlike the base version which will feature a FullHD + screen. After the previews of the past few weeks, it is therefore still Google, albeit in a less direct way, to provide us with some advances on the new smartphones and we are sure that in the coming weeks we will discover more details on Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro.
