Apex Legends and Rainbow Six: Siege join the PS Open Series Tournament

PlayStation’s Open Tournament is a small tournament for aspiring professional players, where they can hone their skills before entering real professional tournaments. The open tournament is officially approved by PlayStation and is held in more than 70 countries, involving 17 games, including Mortal Kombat 11, Call of Duty: Warzone and FIFA 21. The PlayStation Open Championship has hosted more than 16,000 games.

Now the PlayStation Open Championship will expand the scope of the competition, and the two major online shooting game giants Apex Legends and Rainbow Six: Siege will join the event. Like all other open tournaments, Apex Legends and Rainbow Six: Siege will have three to four weeks of open qualifiers, followed by monthly finals. For Apex Legends, it will require 3 players, while Rainbow Six: Siege requires 5 players to join the tournament.

Most importantly, the Open Championship is not just for showing off. The winners of both the open qualifiers and the monthly finals have real cash prizes. Even if you do not win, there will be ranking lists and monthly participation rewards. Players who win the Apex Legends Open Qualifying Tournament will receive a cash prize of $100, and winning in the monthly finals will receive $400 for the first place, $300 for the second place, and $200 for the third place.

Rainbow Six: Siege has a maximum prize of US$250 for the open qualifying round, and a monthly prize of US$500 for the winner of the finals. The Apex Legends open tournament will start on September 1, and the Rainbow Six: Siege open tournament will start on September 2.
