Google Chrome improves tab groups on Android

If on desktop devices users are used to appreciating the groups of tabs, the situation is different with regard to Google Chrome for Android and in recent months there have been several bugs reported. Well, the developer team has decided to listen to user requests and with the 94 version of Google Chrome beta has started to introduce some corrective measures.

In particular, as we learn from 9to5Google, there are two novelties: the links that are automatically set by the sites to open in a new page no longer create a group during navigation (it will open as a new ungrouped tab) and, when held pressed a link, the long-press menu now shows an “Open in new tab” option (although the “Open in a new tab in the group” item is still listed first).

In practice, the big news is that users will only see a group of tabs if they create it themselves. The Google Chrome team specifies that those who install the browser in beta for the first time (you can find it here on the Play Store ) to have this new functionality must keep it open for 5 minutes, then exit and restart it.
