Samsung Galaxy S22 will be available in more markets

The Galaxy S22 series will start mass production in the next few months. If all goes well, the device will be on sale in the first quarter of 2022. The clues currently available indicate that the device will still use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 and Samsung’s own Exynos 2200, but the latest news says that Samsung will provide the Snapdragon version in more countries and regions.

Including this year’s Galaxy S21 series, Samsung’s flagship series with Snapdragon processors are limited to a few markets. But in the Galaxy S22, Samsung is willing to expand this change to more countries. This is mainly because Samsung’s own Exynos 2200 processor suffered mass production problems and had to change its sales strategy.

According to the information currently available, the Galaxy S22 series in the European market will use Exynos 2200 chips; in the North American market (Verizon currently requires the Exynos version, but is under negotiation), South Korea, and China including Hong Kong, China will use Snapdragon. However, China Telecom wants the Exynos version; Southeast Asia and India are most likely to be the Snapdragon version, while South America and other regions have been confirmed to be equipped with the Exynos version.

Although this is undoubtedly exciting news for all Snapdragon enthusiasts, we must note that as of now, Exynos 2200 and Snapdragon 898 are not official products. This also means that when Exynos 2200 is finally officially released because AMD’s rDNA graphics power the chip, it may be faster than similar products of Snapdragon, or this may actually have a counterproductive effect on Samsung.
