Google has launched a number of Android 12 developer preview versions, the official version will also be launched soon. According to XDA reports, Google may lie on the next version of Android. Recently, Google released the fifth developer preview version of Android 12, which is the final beta version before the stable update. Before launch, Google recommends that developers update their apps to target API level 31, which is the framework API provided by Android 12. The previous API level corresponding to Android 11 was 30, and the previous API level was 29, which corresponds to Android 10.
Generally speaking, each new API level is accompanied by a major upgrade of the Android version number. The only exception is API level 20, which corresponds to the Android 4.4 KitKat version dedicated to wearable devices. Therefore, if we find that Google has improved the API level, we can probably assume that the version number will also be +1.
However, some evidence found in the XDA AOSP Gerrit, shows API level 32 corresponds to the 12 sc-v2 instead of T 13 is the Android. In the latest code changes, Google changed the API level first provided by the new NDK API from 32 to 33. The reason is that there is currently no planned NDK API -v2-dev in sc.
