AirPods’s Find My Network postponed until the end of this fall

Apple recently updated its iOS 15 feature page. Related changes include the delayed launch of the Find My feature for AirPods Pro and AirPods Max headsets. Although the Cupertino technology giant did not give a specific explanation, this does not mean that the feature is missing from the initial version of iOS 15, but it was postponed to the end of this fall.

Together with the AirPods search function, there are also functions such as SharePlay, Legacy Contacts, and adding driver’s license or various issued IDs to the wallet App. In addition, last month, Apple also marked iCloud Private Relay as a beta feature.

After the function is officially launched, if you accidentally lose the AirPods Pro true wireless headset (or AirPods Max headset wireless headset), then when other iPhone/iPad/Mac users approach, the Find My network will promptly report You to send a notice to remind you of the approximate direction.

When the user walks within the Bluetooth connection range of AirPods, they can also play a sound to narrow the search range. Finally, after more than three months of beta testing, iOS 15 has been officially launched on September 20th. Compatible device types are consistent with iOS 14, including the original iPhone SE and iPhone 6s.

At the same time, iPadOS 15, watchOS and tvOS will also arrive on the same day. As for macOS Monterey, as of press time, Apple has not yet given an exact release date.
