CDPR recruiting open-world designers or developing new works in the Witcher series?

According to the latest report, CDPR, the developer of Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3, seems to be hiring staff for a new open-world game. Gadgetcruches reported that CDPR posted a job posting on GameJobs, looking for an open-world designer to join the development team at its Polish headquarters. In the recruitment notice, CDPR wrote: We are looking for talents with infinite creativity to bring credible and exciting content to our game world.

This job seems to be released for the development of the next work in the Witcher series, and it is said that CDPR plans to develop this game after the release of Cyberpunk 2077. The developer also announced in March that it will adjust the studio’s workflow and develop two games at the same time, one of which may be a new series of The Witcher.

CDPR has previously confirmed that The Witcher 3 is the ending of Geralt’s story, so the protagonist of the new game may be Hillary or other new characters. Another possibility is that CDPR is preparing to produce a brand new IP. It may also be for the follow-up expansion of Cyberpunk 2077.

CDPR is currently still developing PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of Cyberpunk 2077 and Witcher 3. It is planned to be released at the end of this year, but it may be postponed to 2022.
