The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta will be available starting October 8 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S , PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC platforms. EA Play members and anyone who pre-orders the game can get access two days early on October 6th. All players can pre-download it starting October 5th.
The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta will feature the iconic Conquest experience on the Orbital map , previously shown in the game’s reveal trailer. Those who play from PC and next-gen consoles will be able to experience the new and epic 128-player battles through the Conquest game mode and will be able to fight for control of the key points of the objectives on the map.
During the Beta, participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the franchise’s iconic Total War as one of only four specialists each with their own individual style, specialty and traits.

- Oct 5: Download available for all players
- Oct 6-9: Early Access Window (active Oct 6 at 9:00 am)
- Oct 8-9: Free access (active from 8 October at 9:00)
- Oct 10 to 9: oo End of the Open Beta period
