Report: Galaxy S22 Ultra was renamed Note 22 Ultra

In the past few weeks, there have been news that Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will replace the Galaxy Note series. Today the Twitter user Chunvn8888 revealed that based on the company’s new naming rules, the Galaxy S22 Ultra may be officially called the Galaxy Note 22 Ultra.

According to sources, Samsung is considering a new naming scheme for the upcoming S22 series. With the implementation of the new program, Galaxy S22+ becomes S22 Pro, and S22 Ultra becomes Note22 Ultra. Although Samsung has not yet decided on the new naming scheme, because it is still in the discussion stage, gossip source Chunvn8888 expects the company to adopt the new naming system.

Previous rumors indicate that S22 Ultra will support S Pen and will also have a dedicated pen slot. In addition, S Pen will work with Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone bundling. In other words, the S22 Ultra will be very similar to the Note series. Some experts believe that the purpose behind this move is to get rid of the dual-phone strategy and focus more on foldable devices. Therefore, even if Samsung insists on the old naming scheme, the company may also promote the S22 Ultra as a replacement for the Note series.

If the rumors are true, the upcoming Galaxy S22 series will use Exynos 2200 chipset, equipped with AMD Mobile Radeon GPU and RDNA2 graphics. Rumors also say that it will have a three-camera setup-a 50-megapixel main camera, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 3x optical zoom telephoto camera. Ultra is expected to provide a 108-megapixel main camera. Other features include a 120Hz display, stereo speakers, fast charging, wireless charging, and waterproof function.
