iOS 15 and iPhone 13 cause CarPlay issues for some users

On the list of issues faced by iOS 15 and iPhone 13 users, a new and seemingly common bug caused CarPlay to suddenly crash when users tried to play music, for example through third-party vendors such as Apple Music or Spotify. In dozens of posts on Apple’s support forums and Twitter, some users complained that CarPlay does not work properly only on their new iPhone 13.

According to users, attempting to play music from any CarPlay application would cause the system to crash, but when they tried it on an older iPhone, it worked. Unpairing and re-pairing the phone, turning off and on multiple times, resetting the stereo/display, trying a new cable, will not improve, users can only drive unaccustomed to the silence of the car.

Other users report that this problem persists in both wired and wireless formats. Active music applications such as Spotify must stay on the screen to operate. If the user switches to another application, the media content will stop playing.

Frustrated users also expressed their complaints on Twitter, asking Apple support to provide a solution, but were transferred to an article from Apple’s support department, which did not help to fix the problem. In the absence of guidance from Apple’s support department, users found that disabling the EQ or equalizer, especially ensuring that the late-night switch is turned off in the Apple Music settings, can solve this problem. Some people also found that resetting all the iPhone’s network settings can also help.

A MacRumors reader stated that Apple’s support department told them that this is a common problem that may be fixed in an upcoming update. CarPlay issues have lengthened the list of more and more bugs in the initial version of iOS 15, including serious bugs that may cause users to delete photos from the library, touch screen issues, and storage, Apple Music, and gadget issues.
