According to the latest report, Apple released Safari 15.1 Beta for macOS Big Sur and macOS Catalina to developers later on Thursday for testing. Safari 15.1 Beta was also included in the macOS 12 Monterey Beta 8 beta released earlier this week.
The release notes for Safari 15.1 Beta are largely similar to the initial version of Safari 15, but in testing, the beta version seems to fix an issue, that is, bookmarking a YouTube page will cause the browser to crash. Apple may implement more bug fixes when Safari 15.1 is released to the public, but the problem of displaying old tabs when the browser is reopened does not seem to have been fixed yet.
Safari 15.1 Beta can be downloaded from the more download page of Apple’s developer website after logging in. According to Apple, in order to install the beta version, developers must be running the latest version of macOS Big Sur or macOS Catalina.
Safari 15 is characterized by a redesigned label, with a rounder and clearer appearance, faster performance, improved security, and more. The browser update will be released later this year, pre-installed on macOS Monterey, and Apple will also provide the browser to macOS Big Sur and macOS Catalina users.
