Rainbow Six Extraction release date has been leaked

The gestation of Rainbow Six Extraction seems to have come to an end. The spin-off of the series did not have an easy development: between various postponements and name changes in the running, mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it remained absent from the shelves for a very long time compared to what was planned. Despite this, a Ubisoft press release updated probably by mistake over the last few hours may have revealed the final release date. And no, it’s not far at all.

As you could have guessed from the title of the news, Rainbow Six Extraction will not stay away from consoles and PCs for a long time. As stated in the press release dating back to E3 2021 (but recently updated), the release date of the game was specified. The title should debut in line with the previous announcement of the launch window, which coincided with the beginning of 2022. The game is in fact scheduled for January 20 and will also be included in Ubisoft +, the service that allows PC players to be able to play. by subscription to all games of the publisher and developer, including those published on the release date.

The press release also mentions the strengths of Rainbow Six Extraction, which I already knew to a large extent, including cross-play and cross-save on all platforms. The mention of these details, however, confirms that there have been no changes in the running by the developers and therefore we can expect to find them in the game from day one. As is clearly the case in these cases, the announcement may be subject to change. The release date of Rainbow Six Extraction that we report, therefore, must obviously be taken with a grain of salt: it is in fact a hypothesis since we await official communications from Ubisoft, which could arrive in the next few days.
