Microsoft testing the new Windows 11 interaction

Although the Windows 11 system has been greatly improved in terms of vision, it still uses classic logic in some interactions. In the latest Windows 11 Build 22478 preview update, Microsoft is testing a new interactive experience that allows users to adjust the volume more easily.

At present, if users want to adjust the volume, they need to click the volume icon in the taskbar, and then adjust in the pop-up window. In the new preview version of Windows 11, users hover the mouse over the volume icon and then turn the wheel to adjust the volume. As you can see in the animation below, users can now easily change the volume of their headphones or speakers.

Currently, the volume pop-up window of the taskbar is quite basic, but Microsoft has been planning to enable multimedia playback controls for the taskbar pop-up, allowing users to play, pause and skip tracks from the taskbar. Microsoft is developing a new window, and the flyout design has been updated to match the look and feel of Windows 11 but remains unchanged in terms of functionality.
