Epic Games announces a distribution agreement with two developers

Epic Games recently announced in a blog update on its official website that it will collaborate with independent studios Spry Fox and EYES OUT to release its upcoming games. Hector Sanchez, Director of Publishing at Epic Games, said, We entered the publishing field to support developers and teams of all sizes who pursue games and experiences of different themes.

The world was created by EYES OUT and Spry Fox, as well as the team itself. It’s a perfect example of this. We hope to serve them by giving them full ownership and creative freedom of IP, as well as the best financial terms and distribution support. We are fortunate to be able to work with the best talent in the industry.

EYES OUT is a new studio located in Los Angeles, co-founded by Cory Davis, the developer of Spec Ops: The Line, and Robin Finck, a well-known industrial metal band nine-inch nail guitarist. The studio is currently developing an undisclosed cosmic horror multi-platform game. The game will use Unreal Engine (it should be UE5).

Davis said: Working with the Epic Games publishing team is a very valuable experience for us. Since seeing the existence and organizational structure of EGP for the first time, we have been eager to work with them. Obviously, they are passionate. Promote and maximize the developer’s vision. The support and encouragement from publishers pushed us into uncharted territory and at the same time honed our initial vision. This is our dream come true’.

At the same time, Spry Fox previously launched Cozy Grove, which has won unanimous praise from the critics and is currently working on the most ambitious project to date. Spry Fox’s next game is non-violent in nature, designed to bring people together and reduce loneliness. It will also highlight and focus on cross-platform games and cross-platform progress.

Spry Fox co-founder and CEO David Edery said: Epic understands the content we are producing and why it is so special. They see the opportunity to create beautiful, non-violent things, which are widely appealing Millions of people can be brought together. Obviously, they believed in us from the beginning and were willing to provide us with the support we need to solve the problem. It’s a pleasure to work with them.

Of course, this partnership involves EGS’s exclusive rights to the games of the two studios. But it’s still a good thing to see giants like Epic Games invest their resources in small developers. Of course, fans will have to wait for a while to see more details about these games.
