Zoom is facing fierce competition from Microsoft Teams, and the company has been looking for ways to increase the attractiveness of its products. The company’s latest announcement is that automatically generated subtitles (also known as live transcription) are now available for all free Zoom meeting accounts. This feature provides automatic subtitles during Zoom video calls, and can also be used for paid Zoom Meetings and Zoom Video Webinars accounts.
Auto-generated subtitles can automatically provide speaker subtitles in Zoom video conferences or webinars. To enable this feature, you need to visit the Zoom web portal. Attendees can still privately ask the meeting host to use the meeting toolbar to enable live transcription during the meeting. Zoom also supports manual subtitles and integration with third-party subtitle services.

The automatically generated subtitles are currently available in English, and Zoom plans to expand it to other languages in the future.
