Battlefield 2042 next-gen console version does not support 120 frames when it is released

Battlefield 2042 will be officially released on November 19, 2021. Recently, a DICE developer revealed in a reply to the ResetEra forum that Battlefield 2042 PS5 and Xbox Series X versions do not support 120 frames when they are released, which reduces the resolution. The rate is not good either.

A player asked the DICE developer if he could reveal whether Battlefield 2042 can support 120 frames, or if there is a 120 frame mode (with a lower resolution) in the game. The DICE developer with the ID elenarie said in his reply:

Maybe some attempts will be made after the release. The resolution of the game is not a problem. We have conducted a stress test on various CPUs with 128 players at the same time. The CPU requirements from 60 to 120 frames are relatively high, and reducing the resolution of the game does not help much.

Battlefield 2042 will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC’s Steam, Origin and Epic Games electronic stores on November 19, 2021.
