2022 Tesla Model 3/Y endurance will increase

According to reports, Tesla has updated its cruising range in the 2022 Model 3 and Model Y models. The cruising range of most new models has been improved, depending on the size of the wheels. Tesla updated the configuration page on its official website, and the company changed the mileage information for Model 3 and Model Y.

Unlike traditional car companies, Tesla generally does not make the large-scale remodeling of vehicles, because the company does not change the characteristics of vehicles through remodeling and upgrading. At any time of the year, Tesla may release new features, and then add these new features to the newly produced models, and old car owners, they can get the new features through the company’s OTA upgrade.

However, there are also times when Tesla will bring some big changes when it changes its models every year. On the 2022 models, Tesla has updated the nominal cruising range of the two most popular models, Model 3 and Model Y.

The range of the new Model 3 standard battery plus version has been upgraded from 262 miles (approximately 421 kilometers) to 272 miles (approximately 437 kilometers) on a single charge. This cruising range is based on standard 18-inch wheels. If consumers want to upgrade the 19-inch wheels, they need to pay an extra fee, and after the 19-inch wheels are designed, the cruising range of the vehicle has also shrunk to 267 miles (approximately 429 kilometers).

The cruising range of the Model 3 long-range version has been increased from 353 miles (approximately 568 kilometers) to 358 miles (approximately 576 kilometers). This cruising range is also calculated based on 18-inch wheels. After the 19-inch wheels are upgraded, the cruising range of this version is Descent to 334 miles (approximately 537 kilometers).

The mileage of the Model Y long-range version has been increased from 326 miles (approximately 524 kilometers) to 330 miles (approximately 531 kilometers). This range is based on the standard 19-inch wheels. If you upgrade to 20-inch wheels, the battery life mileage will drop to 318 miles (approximately 511 kilometers).

It is still unclear what factors have allowed the vehicle to obtain a higher range, nor can it be determined whether Tesla has upgraded the battery used in the vehicle. Earlier, Tesla announced that the Model 3 standard battery life version will begin to use lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries.
