Mozilla today released the first maintenance update for Firefox 94. This update mainly fixes errors that exist on the macOS platform, which will cause the Firefox browser to freeze when watching full-screen videos on macOS 10.12. Given that many macOS users like to watch videos such as YouTube, this update is quite critical.
The update rate of this maintenance version update is not large, but macOS users are recommended to update as soon as possible. The stable version of Firefox 94 was released on the 3rd of this month. Among the new features and obvious improvements worth paying attention to include Colorways, website isolation enabled by default, and various performance and security improvements for all platforms.

Firefox 94 mainly introduced the following changes:
- Colorways prompt at first run, it provides six new color themes, allowing users to choose one of them.
- Site isolation is now enabled to help prevent malicious websites from trying to hijack sensitive information from other websites that users are visiting.
- Automatically process updates on Windows (in the background, so there is no more update prompts to disturb users).
- On the about: unloads page on all desktop platforms, you can manually uninstall the least recently used tags.
- Support Apple’s low-power mode in full-screen videos on websites such as YouTube and Twitch.
- Linux users get improved WebGL performance and reduced power consumption.
- Firefox multi-account container extension is integrated with Mozilla VPN to use different server locations for different containers.
