Tesla FSD Beta 10.4 goes live

After a short 1-day delay, Tesla’s FSD Beta 10.4 fully automated driving system was officially launched. This version improves the monitoring speed of specific objects and at the same time improves the passing ability in narrow environments, making the automatic driving function more complete.

The update log is as follows:

  • Under the premise of safety, the maneuverability when leaving the navigation route is improved by allowing faster state recovery.
  • When a vehicle crosses a high-speed road, the detection speed of a high-speed moving object is increased, so that the vehicle can accelerate faster and cross the road quickly.
  • Through the use of hyperparameter adjustments and improved sampling strategies, the generalized static network’s ability to detect static obstacles is improved, the accuracy is increased by 1.5%, and the recall index is increased by 7.0%.
  • Increase the speed of the vehicle when passing through a narrow space wrapped with a taller obstacle.
  • By updating the next-generation detection algorithm, the accuracy of monitoring VRU objects such as pedestrians, bicycles, and motorcycles is improved. The accuracy is increased by 35%, and the recall indicator is increased by 20%.
  • By adding new data and improving training algorithms, the ability to monitor emergency vehicles is improved, and the pass rate is increased by 5.8%.
  • By adding the navigation route as an input value to the object detection network, the accuracy of the VRU control-related attributes is improved by 1.1%.
