There is now just over a week from the launch of the new and highly anticipated Battlefield 2042, FPS of the homonymous series developed by DICE out for PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC. Although in the last month the title has been fiercely attacked by fans for the somewhat disappointing graphic quality and for tight-knit weaponry, Electronic Arts has promised many additions and improvements that will make old-time and non-old fans happy.
According to insider Tom Henderson, famous for revealing juicy news several months ago on the series of the same name, he allegedly stated on Twitter that the development team is already working on a new Battlefield. No pauses then but above all no Star Wars Battlefront 3 as people suspected from the start. Obviously, as it goes without saying, nothing is known about the future project but it is interesting to think how DICE is giving a lot of weight to the rival shooter of Call of Duty.
Certainly, they are just indiscretions, nothing official then, and that is why we invite you to take these statements with due pliers even if Henderson, in the field of insiders, appears to be quite efficient. “Criterion is working on a new chapter of Need for Speed, while DICE is thinking of a new Battlefield, and not Battlefront 3”, he would have written in the post that we will leave you right below.
The migration from #Battlefield2042 back to other projects has begun.
Criterion is now moving back to their Need for Speed title and the DICE studio is moving to their next title, which is expected to be another Battlefield title and not Battlefront III.

Certainly, the scars of Battlefront 2 are still open with Electronic Arts attacked hard for the microtransactions issue.
