Google Pixel 2 XL: The custom ROM based on Android 12 is here

Last December, Google forever greeted the excellent Google Pixel 2 XL, one of the most popular smartphones ever made by the Mountain View giant. Obviously, Google Pixel 2 XL could not mount Android 12 but, as always, the large Android community never backs down and here is the first custom ROM with Android 12 for the Google smartphone.

ProtonAOSP is the custom ROM you must rely on if you still have the US company’s smartphone in your hands and want to try Big G’s new mobile OS. The modding works are such as to offer full support to some key features of the new Google OS: the Material You, the new system animations, the new design of the quick toggle panel and much more.

However, the installation of the custom ROM based on Android 12 for Google Pixel 2 XL is not all, on the contrary. From the thread on the XDA forum, we discover that in some cases it is necessary to repartition and allocate more memory to the partitions and there are even some bugs such as that of the Wi-Fi module not working; all in all it is a small price to pay for having Android 12 on a smartphone otherwise stuck on Android 11.

If you want to install the custom ROM we recommend that you read the procedure carefully and make a complete backup of your smartphone.
