Microsoft Edge browser will natively support e-commerce platform installment payments

Microsoft announced that Edge browser will get the native Buy now, pay later function, this function will allow Edge users to pay for shopping in equal installments. Generally speaking, specific e-commerce sites such as Target and Walmart will provide this option. Through Edge browser integration, when users purchase goods between US$35 and US$1,000, the payment page will provide “Buy now, pay later” (4 installments within 6 weeks).

Microsoft has cooperated with 3rd party Zip (formerly Quadpay) to provide this feature, and users can:

  • On the checkout page, users can find the “Buy now, pay later” option when entering the credit card number;
  • Some users can also enter the checkout page to find the “Buy now, pay later” option.
  • It may take some time to apply for “Buy now, pay later”. To use the BNPL in Edge, users only need to associate a Microsoft account with the account and then bypass the Zip login. This can save you from the trouble of logging in to Zip every time, which can speed up the application process.
