Microsoft Surface Laptop Go has received the December 2021 firmware update, which does not include new features, mainly for some optimizations and improvements.
Update log:
- Improve device stability by solving error checks.
- Improve graphics stability and enable Windows 11 features to improve battery life.

The Surface Laptop Go is the first Surface to update its firmware to December 2021. It is expected that Microsoft will extend the firmware update to several other Surface devices before the end of this month.
Microsoft Surface Laptop Go uses Intel’s tenth-generation i5 quad-core processor and is equipped with up to 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage space. The basic model is only equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC hard drive. In addition, 16GB of memory is a commercial SKU, with limited supply. Microsoft promises that this new notebook has a battery life of up to 13 hours and supports fast charging.
