Every month, players who have subscribed to PlayStation Plus can receive several free games for members on PS4 and PS5. Generally speaking, the PS4 and PS5 game versions are separate, but some games will give out two versions of the main and the next.
Free games for members of the foreign server this month include God’s Fall: Challenger Edition, Lego DC Super-Villain and Deadly Shell. Deadly Shell released an enhanced version on PS5 earlier this year, so some PS Plus users think they can play the next-generation version of the game on the new console. Unfortunately, the official said that the “Deadly Shell” gifted by PS Plus is only applicable to the PS4 version.

Hey Darin, to clarify the version of Mortal Shell that ships on PS+ will only be the original PS4 edition (non-enhanced) which is also playable on PS5 via backward compatibility.

This news was confirmed by the official Twitter account of Deadly Shell. Although PS5 players cannot play Deadly Shell: Enhanced Edition on their console, they can still play the PS4 version because of the backward compatibility of the PS5 console. However, PS5 players are dissatisfied with this.
The free version of Deadly Shell does not provide free PS5 upgrades, but this is just one of the reasons why players are dissatisfied with the December free game. Godfall: Challenger Edition has been criticized because the official does not provide a full version of the game. Godfall: Challenger Edition does not contain basic story content, causing many PS Plus subscribers to complain that they have been deceived.
