GTA Online continues with its infinite expansion, almost as if we weren’t talking about a title that was released almost ten years ago in a completely different gaming era from today. By now it seems that GTA 6 is about to be announced overnight, thanks to various clues unearthed within the latest release of Rockstar Games, namely GTA The Trilogy. Despite this, the fifth chapter of the saga continues to push on its way, and in the coming days, precisely on December 15, a new DLC will be released: The Contract.
We are already aware of what will be covered within this additional content: we will find ourselves in the shoes of the protagonist of GTA Online and we will have to lend a hand to Franklin, along with our longtime friend Lamar Davis. What he needs are a reliable partner and an influential client, and our aim will be to become a partner of Franklin in order to make his agency successful.

Among the promotional materials of the DLC, however, a small detail appeared that made the fans curious: among the images, in fact, we find a version of Chop, the beloved dog of Lamar Davis, much more scruffy and “worn”, almost as if he had aged. The truth is that, indeed, it is like this: in this DLC the beast carries many more years on its shoulders than it had in the original title, and obviously it is not the only one.
The reason for all this is due to the fact that the present timeline of GTA Online now matches that of the present day, which until 2017 was different. Before that year, in fact, the facts within the online version of GTA 5 dated back to a period prior to the latter’s Story mode. Now that GTA Online is set in 2021, therefore, considering that the game was released in 2013, it means that this has undergone an eight-year time jump, and obviously the protagonists of the work have also suffered.
