Some models of iPhone 14 switch to perforated screen, non-Pro and continue to notch

We all know that Apple’s current update strategy on the iPhone is to make a major change in appearance in two years, so the next iPhone 14 will have new changes according to this progress. According to the latest report from South Korean media, the iPhone 14 Pro to be released in 2022 will adopt a perforated screen design. This means that the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Pro and 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Pro Max will remove the notch screen and use a perforated screen.

The perforated screen means that the screen area is larger, and this design has been used in Android devices for many years. If Apple switches to this design, the face ID will be transferred to the screen. The source also revealed that the two non-Pro iPhone 14 will continue to use the notch design, and only the high-end iPhone will use the perforated screen design. In 2022, Apple will not launch a 5.4-inch iPhone mini.

In addition, the iPhone 14 Pro will use an LTPO OLED screen that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. This technology has already appeared on the iPhone 13 Pro (all panels come from Samsung).
