The displays of Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are appreciated by DxOMark

The DxOMark staff continues to test Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro and in the past few hours the displays of the two smartphones of the Mountain View giant have ended up under the magnifying glass.

The Google Pixel 6 display defends itself

Starting with Google Pixel 6, the smartphone can count on a 6.4-inch OLED panel with Full HD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels), 411 ppi density, 20: 9 aspect ratio and 90 Hz refresh rate. In the DxOMark tests, the Google phone display managed to conquer 87 points, thanks to which it goes to a twenty-first place in the special ranking, next to Apple iPhone 12 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, Vivo X51 5G, Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi Mi 11 and Xiaomi 11T Pro.

Among the aspects that have positively impressed the testers are the brightness (considered acceptable in most conditions), the fluidity with the games and the fidelity of the colors in low light conditions and indoors. Among the negative aspects, however, are reported the loss of uniformity of color and brightness and low brightness when watching content in HDR10.

Bigger and more performing

Moving on to its older brother, its display can count on a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with 3,120 x 1,440-pixel resolution, 512 ppi density, 19.5: 9 aspect ratio and 120 Hz refresh rate. In the tests conducted by DxOMark Google Pixel 6 Pro manages to conquer 90 points, thanks to which it goes to sixth place in the special ranking, next to Apple iPhone 13 mini and Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G (Snapdragon) and behind Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G (91 points).

Among the aspects that positively impressed the testers are fluidity, color fidelity (especially indoors and outdoors in the shade) and brightness in most conditions. Less convincing, however, were the management of brightness in sunlight and when watching HDR10 content.
