Maps Error Android Auto

Those who use Google Maps for navigation with Android Auto can currently run into problems. For a limited group of users, Android Auto crashes every 5 to 10 minutes, causing the software to restart. You will then automatically return to Maps and you can continue navigating. An Android Auto user managed to capture the error on camera and you can watch the video below.

At first, it seemed that a poor connection with a USB cable could be the cause of the problem, but users reporting the error in Google’s Android Auto Help forum have stated that the problem occurs with both the wired and wireless versions. The error can also be seen in combination with multiple models of phones that work with different Android versions. There doesn’t seem to be a clear solution yet, and a factory reset didn’t help either, according to one of the users.

No response from Google

The first reports of the bug have arrived in the past week, so it is a fairly recent bug. Google has not yet responded to the facts at this time. So it is not known when a solution is on the way. It is also questionable how widespread the problem is spread.
