Fire or explosion of smartphones seems to be a frequent occurrence recently. Considering that we usually put mobile phones in our pockets, this is also a safety issue. Following multiple fires in India on OnePlus Nord 2, a Realme XT mobile phone allegedly exploded during use. The last mobile phone of the same model was reported after a similar incident occurred in June 2020.
According to Twitter user Sandip Kundu, a Realme XT of his friend caught fire and damaged the phone completely unusable. Kundu posted a picture of the Realme XT phone burned by his friend. The front and back of the phone were completely damaged, especially the back where the battery is located, the screen was also severely burned, and the camera module was also completely damaged.

At the same time, he posted a video that showed smoke from the phone at the time. He and his friends immediately moved away from the phone after noticing the smoke and recorded this video. Fortunately, the fire did not seem to cause any harm to anyone.
Realme has not yet issued a statement on this issue, but its Indian company’s social media accounts have admitted to being aware of this issue and offered to help in any way: We want to tell you that we have contacted this person, and we also ask him to go to the nearest authorized service center. Please rest assured, once he visits us, we will try our best to solve his problem. The company has not yet talked about the exact cause of the explosion.
