Black Flag is obviously about the theme of pirates, and The Revolution (Unity in English, meaning unity) is about the alliance between the Assassins and the Templars (or the alliance between Arnold and Alice).
The same is true for the last three games. Origin shows the creation of the invisible, who will eventually become assassins. Odyssey is an epic trip to Greece, Hall of Valor tells the story of the Vikings. However, these three subtitles also seem to accurately reflect Layla’s journey.
First of all, Assassin’s Creed: Origins shows the beginning of the conflict between the Assassins and the Templars and reveals the origin of modern assassins. This is also the first game of Layla Hassan. She is looking for the truth, and finally rebels from Abstergo and joins the Assassins. This is her origin story as a modern assassin.
Then, we can define Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey as follows: A long and changeable adventure. In fact, this is also reflected in Kassandra, because she became the successor of the scepter and lived very much. Long, even in the recently launched Odyssey and Hall of Valor linkage missions, I encountered Aivol who came to explore the truth. However, Layla also went to Atlantis. During this journey, Layla became the heir of memory and learned more about her own destiny.
Finally, in Assassin’s Creed: Hall of Valor, Aivor’s dedication to the residents allowed her (him) to define her own character, even if this is the main reason why Aivel did not join Invisible. The Hall of Valor is the final result of Odin calling the soldiers to prepare for the dusk of the gods and the end of the journey. Combined with the Odyssey, the Hall of Valor is the destination and the end of the journey. Considering everything that happened to the World Tree (Yggdrasil), Bassim, Layla and the reader (Desmond Miles), Layla as a manipulable character has also reached the end of her personal journey.
The achievements she achieved during the journey were the reason why she was able to survive and meet Desmond. Together, they looked for the future after the catastrophe. Since she has become a corpse, players can no longer control her in modern settings in Assassin’s Creed: Hall of Valor. In other words, the player understands the origin of Layla’s story, experienced the Odyssey (Odyseey is the meaning of journey) when she became the successor, and her ending in the Hall of Valor-the three subtitles are closely linked together.
