Microsoft’s MSN Weather App gets the Win11 UI update and supports pinning the city to the start menu

Microsoft has released the 4.53.33420.0 version of the MSN Weather App for the Windows 11 Insiders Dev channel, and brought an improved design and start menu improvements. As you can see from the screenshots, the new version of MSN Weather uses a UI that is more in line with the style of Windows 11, and the changes in the left sidebar are more obvious.

In addition, the new version supports fixing the weather icon of a certain city to the Windows 11 start menu, and users can click on it to directly view the weather in that city.

The update log of the new version is as follows:

  • New design: The Weather App has been updated and now uses a graphical style that is more in line with the Windows 11 interface. The buttons now have rounded edges, the font has become larger and bolder, and the controls on the settings page have been updated.
  • Location in the start menu: When pinning other locations to the start menu, the corresponding city name will be displayed so that users can more easily identify the link pointed to by the Weather App.
