Rumors of a third-generation iPhone SE have been confusing for the past few years, as some information points to a major redesign with an iPhone 11-inspired look, no Touch ID Home button, and shrunk bezels, but the rumors are clearly describing two different devices.

According to Dylandkt, Apple is working on an iPhone SE similar to the XR/11, but with a slightly smaller screen. The device is expected to be released in 2024. Display analyst Ross Young also said that Apple is developing a 2024 iPhone SE with a 5.7- to a 6.1-inch display and hole-punch camera, which Apple is expected to use in its professional iPhone lineup in 2022.
