Tesla today announced the launch of Plaid Track Mode, an upgraded version of Track Mode that takes the Model S Plaid’s track performance to a whole new level. Tesla introduced Track Mode for the Model 3 Performance back in 2018, fine-tuning the dynamic controls to improve track performance. In 2020, Tesla released Track Mode V2 to further improve performance.
And with the new Model S Plaid (currently Tesla’s highest-performance car), Tesla has now released a new Plaid Track Mode that enables all features of stability control, handling balance and regenerative braking. Tesla stated in the changelog:
This week, Plaid Track Mode is north of the beauty Model S Plaid launch vehicle. For Plaid Track Mode, our goal was simple: to achieve the fastest lap times for a production electric car on the German Nürburgring, and to allow individual adjustments to stability control, handling balance and regenerative braking to make The driver has greater control over the vehicle on the track.
