The ventilated seats in the Model 3 and Model Y will have a dedicated button next to the heated seat, the documents show. When the Tesla Model 3 first went on sale, the car did not have heated rear seats, but it was later activated by an official OTA update. Of course, the seat ventilation function requires relevant hardware support, and if Tesla wants to provide this function, it needs to update the hardware.

Only Tesla Model S sedan and Model X SUV currently provide seat ventilation, and Model 3 and Model Y do not support it, but Tesla does introduce some features of its flagship models to the lower end. Model history, such as Bioweapon Defense Mode, which was previously a Model S and Model X-exclusive feature that allowed the vehicle to maintain hospital-grade clean air in the cabin, and was later delegated to the Model Y.
