At least once since they are now among us on a permanent basis, we have had the opportunity to try a Xiaomi smartphone and its user interface. MIUI is constantly evolving and is now at its 12.5 Enhanced version, but it certainly doesn’t stop there. In fact, after the internal tests, Xiaomi has launched the MIUI Pure mode, which allows the installation of applications in a totally safe way.
According to the source, Pure Mode is a totally new installation system and the main function of this mode is to prevent malicious applications containing viruses, Trojans and other problems from being installed. To do this, it blocks the installation of applications, leaving the system’s application store, GetApps, as the only installation path.
In short, MIUI channels the system to rely on its application portal, so as to be sure that a secure application is being installed. Obviously, do not worry, this mode can be safely deactivated and activated at will, so as to personally evaluate whether it is useful to rely completely on the system for this eventuality.
After a first version (Alpha) of MIUI Pure, made available on 6 September 2021 on Chinese MIUI ROMs, the new mode has begun its roll out in the China version of the latest MIUI 13, so both on the new Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X, but also on the others who are gradually receiving it. But when does it also arrive in Europe?
The answer, to tell the truth, is quite automatic, because it is very likely that we will see it at work with the Global versions of the aforementioned smartphones and then, probably, on all the other smartphones that will also receive version 13 from us.
