This feature of the Google Pixel 6 is what we love the most

Not all new functions have to be well received by the user. With the Pixel 6 cell phones, however, one of the innovations offered has turned out to be a particularly useful help in everyday life.

No previous generation of Pixels brought as many changes as Pixel 6, but some of them don’t stand out that much. So I thought about whether there was any feature of the Pixel 6 smartphones that particularly stood out and might not be feasible on other devices in this form. And yes, there is one feature that I have loved and used a lot ever since.

With the new voice typing, Google has massively improved voice input. It now works almost in real-time, understands me very well and is also quite reasonable from a grammatical point of view. Not perfect, sometimes with mistakes, but still very readable. There are no drastic misunderstandings, which used to be the case with voice input.

I would definitely miss voice typing on other devices

In any case, the new voice typing has led to the fact that I now very often speak notes or chat messages. I’ve almost never done that before. And over time, the system behind voice typing can only get better because it’s certainly being trained by using data as well. Voice typing would be something I would definitely miss when switching to another smartphone.

But it’s not just the mere conversion of speech to text that I like so much about voice typing. I can also keep voice typing permanently active and thus write several chat messages one after the other. You can also control what is happening in detail, such as deleting part of a message by voice command or sending the message.
